![]() ![]() CueCard is a free study aid program created by Wade Brainerd. It allows you to enter questions and answers to make a stack of 'cards'. The program will then present you the questions one by one; after each answer you can indicate whether you got it correct or not. You can store the cards and keep coming back to them for more practice; the program remembers which ones you got wrong and keeps score. You can even print out the questions and answers on real cards. This program is ideal for helping you to memorize things, or learn facts. It works best with short sentences or single questions ... you could use it to learn times tables or integer operations facts, history dates, science definitions, or even to memorize a poem line by line. You can prepare and save question lists, and pictures or diagrams can be inserted into questions as well. We've prepared three sets of cards to go with this free program. They test you on the times tables, integer operations, and geometry facts. We'll tell you how to get them in a moment ... but first you might be interested in seeing screenshots of the program in action. We prepared a page showing how to load a set of questions and practice, which you can print. The page is here. Getting the Program: Download cuecard.zip (375 k) and cardfiles.zip (1.5 k) First unzip the setup program from inside cuecard.zip, and double-click on it to install it. Remember the path to the folder that you choose to install it in. Then unzip cardfiles.zip and transfer these files to the same folder. Go to our screenshots page to see how to load these question files. |
