The Great Plant Escape Interactive site where kids try to solve mysteries, and learn about plants. Covers several parts of the curriculum. Has a teacher area, with suggestions. A fantastic site!

Plant Growth Does a bean plant grow faster than a sunflower? Complete lesson plans for an experiment. Labelled as grade 2, but easily adapted to grades 3/4 and different plants.
Gr. 2 Science: 'Plant Growth' Curriculum looks much the same as our 3/4 Plants section! This page has many suggested activities for each objective in the unit. This is a teacher resource worth looking at!

Airplanes ... How They Fly A complete text description of what makes planes fly, and how they work. Can be printed out. Starts easy, and progresses to more advanced topics, including flight manoeuvers.
How Things Fly A NASA site designed for kids. Deals with the grade six curriculum requirements nicely! (Be sure to click on all the individual pictures).
The Forces of Flight A well explained document on the forces involved in flight.
Flight Experiments Lesson plans for simple (kid) flight experiments. Neat!
Lift, Thrust, Weight, and Drag The same information, but the nice diagrams here make it easier to understand.
Bernouilli BrainTeasers Simple experiments for kids that illustrate and explain the Bernouilli effect
Paper airplane experiment Paper airplane lesson plan for an experiment students can do to record flight data. Document can be saved and printed from any word processor ... it's a text file! Includes full experiment, and data collection sheet. Excellent.
Paper Airplanes Six paper airplane designs, with complete instructions.
The Challenge of Flight The forces of flight are well explained with diagrams. You can also learn about the first airplane designs, and the challenges the inventors had to overcome. You can design and test your own models. Don't miss the 'Teachers' Zone', which contains great ideas for classroom demonstrations and experiments. A very informative site ... maybe the best!
